wallyballough What a discovery! Awesome dreamgaze with a sweet voice. 99.9% of America will never hear them but that's their loss. Long live Coral Grief! Long live Bandcamp! Favorite track: Radio Rodeo.

McQuack Long after the Polar ice caps melt when the Great Barrier Reef gets it's colour back, this EP is the type of music I'd imagine Teenage Mermaids would make after finding a stash of old shoegaze records and guitar pedals inside of a long forgotten and flooded sharehouse. Favorite track: Residue.

Aaron Gribben listening to this feels like wearing a hooded cloak and lighting up some of those long stick dinner candles. and then inviting all your favorite animals over for a masked dance party.

paul s.u. This album is so gorgeously textured & watery, perfect long drive at dusk or train-taking or watching the fast rain from your bedroom window music ✨ Favorite track: While They Sleep.

Crumble 04:24
Her name was born misspelled She never gets overwhelmed Except by the spell of the crumbling bells Asleep in the air Waving at the war below Here lies the echo in all of our heads Not a lover Not a witch But she thinks in perfect pitch Why don’t you try to be here on time Her name was born misspelled She never gets overwhelmed Except by the spell of the crumbling bells Asleep in the air Waving at the war below Here lies the echo in all of our heads Not a number Not a glitch But if you think in perfect pitch You know the tremors were here on time Sympathetic Autopilot Perfect practice Bad habits Saturated Information We’re crumbling the crown

So Long 02:28
For only so long it’ll be enough Memory of proximity For only so long it’ll be enough Here are some words for you so you can keep on calling Soon we will meet again in another language For only so long it’ll be enough Numbers on the loose Reproducing what we can’t catch up to For only So long

Rings around your head, wings beneath my bed Lucky struggle to make no new friends Responsibility to make no new friends I touch the web and now we are congealed I’m lying down to fly under the radar Time to learn what you don’t know you can do Spare the room you don’t know what you can do Lucky time to be idle and out of the way Responsibility to be idle and out of the way

Residue 03:39
We didn’t come from the ground Rising or hiding The lake is a lost and found Rising or hiding For every one, there’s at least five more The rug is swept up, no punch left to pour When the meal is over, the gold is gone too Stories stay hidden in the residue Half life comes quick, lips left un-licked and there’s too much thinking, while the ground is splitting Tide is low what do we find in the volcano, when the rug is swept up, better learn to listen differently
5.
While they sleep Cooing breeze Every noise Prepare your voice Up to you to keep them safe Up to you to give a resting day Tell me when alarm is bright Tell their shade umbrella night To be safe while we all sleep Only when the air is sweet While they sleep Raise the bar Up to you to keep them safe Up to you to give a resting day You never know who you’re gonna be You never know who you are already

Radio Rodeo 07:46
Reporting live anonymous ride The channel is turning could be your turn to go Reporting live anonymous ride into the arena The channel is turning could be your turn to go Over at the stampede You never know what you’re gonna see In the dust, in the dirt In the belly of the adolescents word Horses on the hill Running down 60 degrees Till they cross the river into the arena Try and finish the show Horses on the hill Reporting live, anonymous ride Once they cross the river forgetting the answer Could be your turn to go Over at the stampede You never know what you’re gonna see The channel is turning could be your turn to go Catch it high or pour it low 180 degrees Cause the shoe can hang in either direction From above the door Catch it high or pour it low 180 degrees All antennas up and into the arena Could be your turn to go Over at the stampede You never know who you’re gonna be In the dirt, in the dust In the gamble of the cards yet to come

about

Coral Grief is the Seattle-based dream pop project of Lena Farr-Morrissey and Sam Fason. Their debut self-titled EP was written and recorded by the band at home from March - August 2020.

Coral Grief's music generates reverie with intense focus, built upon krautrock and synth pop undertones. While the songs are not confined to quarantine, they are a product of its themes. Ambient guitars and weavings synths create the space for Farr-Morrissey’s melodies and Fason’s guitar work to flourish, with expert bass lines propelling each song forward.
